Dr. Benjamin Truong is a compassionate dentist dedicated to improving the overall health and well-being of his patients. Raised in Chandler, Dr. Truong is deeply invested in his community and is passionate about making dental care accessible and understandable for all. Dr. Truong earned his Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Arizona. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of Pennsylvania. He further honed his skills through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency with the US Air Force, where he served as a Captain. During his time on active duty, Dr. Truong provided dental care to service members at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois and Osan Air Base in the Republic of Korea. Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Truong worked as a Registered Dietitian in both Pinal and Maricopa County. With a background in both nutrition and dentistry, he combines a unique understanding of the connection between oral health and overall health to provide comprehensive care. This experience contributes to his holistic approach to patient care, where he emphasizes the importance of prevention and education in maintaining long-term dental health. As an active member of the American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association and Central Arizona Dental Society, Dr. Truong stays up-to-date on the latest advancements in dental care. He is committed to educating his patients on how to improve their oral health and quality of life through preventive practices, helping them achieve healthier, more confident smiles. When he is not practicing dentistry at Brighton Dental Health, you can find Dr. Truong hiking Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak or at a local Mexican restaurant in search of delicious carne asada tacos.
Laiya is a certified dental assistant who received her training from Pima Medical Institute. She has been a valuable part of the Brighton Dental Health team since 2022, known for her friendly demeanor and dedication to patient comfort. With a strong attention to detail and a passion for dental health, Laiya helps create a smooth and supportive experience for every patient. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to baseball games and concerts, and trying new matcha or coffee spots.
Melissa brings over 20 years of experience in the dental field and a warm, welcoming presence to the Brighton Dental Health team. Originally from the Midwest, she has lived in several states before making Arizona her home in 2024. Melissa loves helping patients feel confident in their smiles and takes pride in building lasting relationships through exceptional care. When she’s not at the office, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, cooking and baking, and caring for her beloved cat.
Kylinn is a licensed dental hygienist who graduated from Mesa Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Before becoming a hygienist, she worked as a pediatric dental assistant, where she developed a strong ability to work with patients of all ages, especially those who are nervous or anxious about dental care. Her calm, compassionate approach helps patients feel at ease. In her spare time, Kylinn enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, and going country dancing.
